Adding pictures

Good night last night. His attitude seems to be MUCH better this morning. I'm doing a happy dance...he's been trash talking during Mario Kart and planning his volcano eruption. We are definitely feeling good today! I'm adding pictures throughout the blog, so if you're interested scroll down through all the old posts.

Signs of the old Jack coming back.

This showed up in our backyard yesterday. We're hoping he's good enough to get on the swing soon, until then he enjoys hanging out in the clubhouse.

This picture is priceless...the first genuine smile we'd seen in days.

Don't be fooled by the enthusiastic look on his face, he was not thrilled that we were making him do this:

And THIS is what we're dealing with folks. It isn't pretty, but we're hoping to be looking at it for the next 5 months!

  1. AWESOME! What a big brave boy! And how great he'll have a new playhouse to swing around & climb all over after things get better! I'm so grateful to hear that each day is getting better! And I have to say, what a testament to your & Jon's marriage that you're wading through these unfamiliar waters w/ such poise, I'm certain the 2 of you are parents of the decade! Much love!

  2. That playset rocks!! My MIL was trying to put it in the girls' heads that we need a playset out back, but we said only if Grandma was footing the bill. ;) How great that the weather is good and you can get outside to enjoy some fun--good timing.

I swear Jack and Emma are going to hook up someday. Seeing the pictures in the hospital with his crocheted blanket remind me so much of Emma! She has one that she's had since the day she was born that she sleeps with under her head just like that.

  5. Things are getting better and better it looks like. I am excited for all of the new swingset, I will be able to play on it when I get there to visit. Tell Jack that he better be able to give me stories and explain what is happening to his leg, I will need details!

  7. i love the playset! jack will be playing on that in no time. it is so nice to hear that things are getting better. okay-yes, i have to laugh at the puke story too and also at the fact jon went and bought things to decorate the house! are you talking about real items for the house or streamers and balloons? i can just picture the puke scenario happening-at those times i think all we can do is realize that laughing is the only option. hope to talk with you soon! love ya!
